This Classical Modern Spa Retreat transformed a master bath remodel with the help of incorporated space captured from an outside storage area to create a spacious shower for two. When the exterior walls drywall was removed to discover a 3/4" furring strip instead of a 2 x 4, we had to rework the plan to accommodate the plumbing by furring out the wall into the room 5 inches, which meant changing our original niches to shadow boxes.
